Program Director and then some Boise, ID - Boise

Posted date: Oct 4, 2010

Can you do more than one thing at a time? More than two? Journal Broadcast Group/Boise seeks a programming leader/producer to take the point for our newest project, “Variety Rock 105.1.” A broad, rock-based “Jack/Bob” style enterprise, the personality & promotional elements on this station aren’t ad-libbed live but are written, produced & presented in a jockless environment.

Requires broad knowledge of rock music, fluency in Selector, the ability to think in promotional terms and most of all a passion for compelling writing and image production. Position includes remotes/appearances and the possibility of an air shift in the future, but not today; maybe never. Also includes work on internet & in social media, and other projects which may include work for other group stations or our sister television stations.

Traditional “I know how to schedule music & back announce some songs” programmers need not apply. But if you like painting with lots of brushes, coloring outside the lines & are addicted to innovation, here’s a position that won’t put you to sleep. For more on the station see http://www.VarietyRockDemo.com.

Then email writing sample, imaging, aircheck & resume to: Dan McColly, Operations Manager, Journal Broadcast Group /Boise. Email: dmccollyatjournalbroadcastgroup.com Address: 2527 Fairview, Suite 260, Boise, ID 83706. Journal Broadcast Group is an equal opportunity employer.
