I am a senior at Northwest Missouri State University looking for jobs after college. Although I am young I have had a lot of experience already in the radio field. I have worked in radio since my junior year in high school and have done various things such as hosted sport shows, done some play by play work for football and basketball, hosted a show on friday nights called 90's Friday Night, I have engineered football and basketball games, worked the afternoon traffic shift and have done some call screenings as well.

Hard working, eager college student who is interested in gaining more experience in the radio or sports business. Have worked in a wide range of broadcast's including Disc Jockey on NPR and alternative rock stations, sporting event's (football and basketball) and live remotes.
Part Time Job/Internship
Citadel Broadcasting Corporation, Des Moines, Iowa- Worked as a summer intern. Was in charge of running errands around the station such as pick up concert tickets, make banners for events, sit at one of the radio booths at the Iowa State fair, getting equipment ready for radio remotes, and driving station cars to events. Worked as a part time employee reporting traffic in the afternoon and evening on some of the radio stations, produced sports updates for ESPN 1700 the Champ, and engineered various sporting events and live remotes on all five radio stations including ESPN 1700 the Champ, 95 KGGO, 98.3 WOW FM, 97.3 The Hawk, and 92.9 KJJY.
Sports Engineer/D.J.-KXCV/KRNW Radio, Maryville, Missouri: As a sports engineer responsibilities included helping with the technical part of sports broadcasts for KXCV/KRNW. Assured the programming was broadcasted over five radio stations and a live web feed. During timeouts and scheduled breaks broadcasted underwriting and PSAs. As a D.J. responsibilities included coming up with news stories during news breaks, giving updated weather, and giving the station I.D. every top and bottom of the hour.
Sports Practicum/D.J.- KZLX Radio, Maryville, Missouri: Learned teamwork skills as member of KZLXs sports practicum. Had an opportunity to do a number of sporting events everything from play-by-play of high school football games to play-by-play and color commentary of Northwest Missouri State mens and womens basketball games. Worked as a sideline reporter for the station during football season. Worked on two weekly sports talk show, along with disk jockeying a regularly scheduled specialty show called 90s Friday Night.
The Missourian- College Newspaper. Maryville, Missouri: Learned about the print side of media by writing sports stories. Wrote a variety of sports stories including soccer, volleyball, cross country, and various intramural sports.
High School Experience
Sports Director/D.J.-KDPS Radio, Des Moines, Iowa: Gained valuable experience while working with instructors and fellow students at the student run radio station. Responsibilities included preparing sports information for all radio time slots. Know-how of making promos/liners for radio station. Directly involved with four on-air time slots. Experience with running a live remote which included engaging audience and listeners. Co-announced and provided play-by-play information for area high school boys basketball game.
Yearbook: Publication won Iowa High School Press Association state runner-up. Fifth place Best of Show at the National Journalism Convention in Chicago, Columbia Scholastic Press Associations Silver Medallist and National Scholastic Press Association First Class. Skills learned include acquiring Ad Sales to produce yearbook, writing sports and feature stories. Worked as Co-Sub Editor for all sports pages.
