Patrick (Rick) Schnetzler began working as an on-air talent at a small station in rural Missouri at the age of 16. Though he was young, he had been practicing for the job his whole life. As a kid he played DJ cuing up tapes on a dual cassette deck and announcing the songs, later advancing to a stereo rigged up to a SEGA-CD gaming system.
After two years at his first radio job, Rick began working as an on-air talent at an Alternative Rock station where he produced live and prerecorded shows. From that point he was an on-air personality at several other radio stations ranging in format from Adult Contemporary to Classic Rock to Top 40.
In 2000 Rick transitioned from radio to television. He has worked for an ABC affiliate and a PBS affiliate in various technical, engineering and marketing capacities, most recently working as a technician for KLRU, the makers of the infamous Austin City Limits television show.
In his 15 years of radio and television experience Rick has developed a skill set that encompasses nearly all aspects of audio recording and production. Recently he began to pursue freelance voice talent and is excited about the potential opportunities. Rick lives in Austin, Texas.
