 Location:  Columbus, Ohio

Chuck Hester, APR Email Nick Hiltbrand
I am a recent graduate of The Ohio State University with a BA in Public Affairs Journalism and a BS in Traditional Mathematics. I have interned at WBNS 97.1 The Fan in Columbus where I was responsible for editing audio, recording spots, operating a sound board and reporting in the field. I also interned through the Ohio State University Athletic Department where I did the play-by-play broadcasting for every home game for the OSU Women's Basketball team during the 2010-2011 season. I also took the initiative to travel to New York City to broadcast their game against the University of Connecticut and travel to Indianapolis to broadcast their games in the Big 10 tournament. I was a member of the Ohio State student radio group, "Scarlet and Gray Sports Radio," for over three years where I broadcasted many different Ohio State sports as well as hosted a talk show for three years. I also covered campus news and sports for Ohio State's student newspaper, "The Lantern," voted Ohio's #1 Collegiate Newspaper by the Ohio Newspaper Association. During my time with The Lantern, I published 30 pieces and four front-page articles including a story on Michael Redd which was picked up by many sporting websites across the country. I am a tireless worker and I'm driven to become the best broadcast journalist I can be. I have the experience, the skill set and the familiarity of the inner workings of a top-level radio station to be able to contribute immediately to any radio station's success. I would be thrilled to have an opportunity to help a radio station in any way that I can and I anxiously look forward to answering any questions about my qualifications.
